The Parker Youth Sports Lacrosse program adheres to the tenets of the USL Participant and Players code of conduct. Players, coaches, officials, parents and spectators are to conduct themselves in a manner that "Honors the Game" and demonstrates respect to other players, coaches, officials, parents, spectators and fans. In becoming a member of the lacrosse community, an individual assumes certain obligations and responsibilities to the game of lacrosse and its participants. The essential elements in this "Code of Conduct" are HONESTY and INTEGRITY. Those who conduct themselves in a manner that reflects these elements will bring credit to the sport of lacrosse, themselves, their team and the Hawks organization.
Participants/Players

- I will respect everyone who participates
- I will maintain my self-control at all times
- Academic grades shall take precedence over Lacrosse.
- I will listen to my coaches’ instructions.
- Lacrosse is a team sport. I am on a team and will be a team player. I will respect all my teammates and my competitors.

- Players are responsible for their own equipment and will ensure it is complete, safe, and in good condition at all times.
- Each Player represents the game of lacrosse, the lacrosse association, and their team.
- Players shall conduct themselves in a dignified manner at all times.
Parents/Legal Guardians
With regard to my child:
- I believe that my role as a parent is to contribute to the overall success of my child as a lacrosse player.
- I will endeavor to provide positive support to my child, regardless of the outcome of the game.
- I will make every effort to cheer positively for my child and the team from the opposite sidelines, per youth lacrosse rules.
- I will be a positive role model for my child and encourage sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, officials and spectators at every lacrosse game, practice or other sporting event.
- I will support my child in understanding and playing within the letter and spirit of the rules of Lacrosse.
- I will remember that my child is participating to learn the sport of lacrosse. Although winning and the competitive nature of sports will be encouraged, youth lacrosse is designed to provide the fundamentals of the sport of lacrosse and teach sportsmanship.
- I will teach my child that doing one’s best is more important than winning.
- I will remember that my child is participating to have fun, not for my enjoyment.
With regard to the coaches:
- I will leave coaching to the coaches and never yell at a player or coach for making a mistake or losing a competition.
- I will not approach coaches during or immediately after lacrosse games to discuss any issues, concerns or complaints I may have regarding my player and will schedule an appropriate time away from the field to discuss those matters privately with the coach.
- I believe that the coaches are attempting to do their best at being a good instructor and positive role model for their team.
- I will be a positive role model for my child and encourage sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all players, coaches, officials and spectators at every lacrosse game, practice or other sporting event.
With regard to Referees:
- I believe that Referees are attempting to do their best.
- I understand that Referees are not professionals and will treat them with respect, and in doing so will teach my player to also treat them with respect.
- I will not address a Referee before, during or after the game in a demeaning fashion.
- I understand the referee has the authority to have any player, spectator, or coach leave the game or field.
